Pointing Devices

To maximize the benefit of our service, you should get a pointing device that allows you to use without a table. You'll find a few recommendations below. There are many other options besides what's mentioned here. You can keep both your standard mouse and the off-table pointing device active at the same time by using a Y-Mouse manufactured by PI Engineering.

Finger Track Mouse
The finger track mouse is highly recommended for couch surfing. It is small and you can operate it with only one hand. It doesn't need a surface to sit on. Best of all, it is very affordable.

Trackballs
There are a lot of trackball type pointing devices available on the market. Although they can be used off-table but they generally require some kind of surface to sit on... your lap should do. Kensington makes such a device called Expert Mouse. It features a large trackball. Logitech also has a number of trackball pointing devices.

Gyro Wireless Mouse
Gyration's GyroMouse Pro is the most relaxing way to surf the web. It is a cordless mouse that you can use on or off the table.

Foot Mouse
As strange as it sound, the foot mouse can be very functional as well as fun to use. It will take some getting used to but it can be worth the effort if you want to surf completely hands-free.
